WHO IS HAWAII FIVE OH?
The group "HAWAII FIVE OH" consisting of super producer and rapper J-Real, The Kama'aina Classic and smooth lyricist "I.A." and Hawaii's premier DJ Hype Man Kutmaster Spaz has set
out to create a fun 80's retro sounding album simple called "Get Fresh". All friends for a few years now, the three decided at the beginning of 2009 to form "HAWAII FIVE OH" with
the intention to simply have fun with a culture of music they all love so much (Hip Hop).
All masters in their own areas of expertise, the three members of "HAWAII FIVE OH" wanted to bring back that "old skool era with a new skool flava" type vibe that everyone can enjoy.
Clean, simple and familiar is what you will get when you hear the "Get Fresh" Album.
The name "HAWAII FIVE OH" comes from the nick name of their home state (Hawaii),which is the 50th State hence Hawaii 5-0 (made popular by a 70's police drama TV series with the same
name).
J-Real aka Osna has been producing music for years and is well versed in all areas of music, however his passion for Hip Hop drives him to create killer tracks. J-Real is a master in
the studio but an animal on stage with his rhymes! Native to the West Side of Oahu I.A. (aka The Kama`ania Classic) smooth delivery of lyrics makes the ladies melt, however don’t let
his pretty face fool you, his hard edge packs a tight bit when needed.
Kutmaster Spaz (aka The Universal DJ) grew up in the 80's and knows all about the florescent, O-ring, Kango wearing decade! Spaz supplies the hype and scratches to complete the group.
Starting on Friday Oct. 9th, 2009 you can download a copy of the "Get Fresh" album at www.hawaiitunes.com for FREE if you would

The album was produced entirely by I.A. and Osna (production credits include: Kaipo Kapua, Krystilez, Rick Rock).
Taking it back to the beginning days of Hip Hop, I.A. and Osna are using the 1 MC, 1 producer, method in making the new LP. I.A. wanted to vibe with one producer and build a sound, similar to how Gang Starr did it when
they first came out with Guru being the MC and DJ Premier on the Beats. The first single "Do Whut I Like" is a rebellious high-energy dance ode gaining momentum on mix-shows, online, and at clubs in Hawaii. Other
notable tracks are "Flower in ya Left Ear" and "Break It Down" featuring J Wiz, Osna and scratches by Kutmaster Spaz.
In July of 2007, I.A. released his highly anticipated critically acclaimed debut album "The Kama`aina Classic. The album spawned hit singles "Dat Island Sound" featuring B.E.T. and the monstrous club anthem "808 Party".
I.A. showed his skills behind the boards producing nearly half of the project. The LP sold out in Hawaii stores in 2 short weeks. Prior to the debut album, I.A. has released 2 successful mixtapes (The Prequel, The
Ohana Mixtape) mixed by Kutmaster Spaz pushing 7,000 units collectively with his debut album. I.A. will soon be surpassing that number with his latest project "Another Day in the HI".
